Similar to the French New Wave where they also use small children as little rascals in their films.
An interesting mix of films. On the Bowery looks very cliche with its mixture of Scripted and Documented. Pull My Daisy is interesting with its use of voice over narration, It was also very weird and i didn't actually know what was happening. Shadows was okay, it didnt really pique my interest. As with The Connection, like Shadows it didn't seem very interesting.
New Hollywood seems to be what current Hollywood romantic comedies are based off of. Alfie is quite funny and plays on a lot of cliches. Georgy Girl looks like a great drama film. Blow Up was confusing, the trailer gave nothing to go off if, i think it had to do with photography and some strange rock and roll stuff.
I want to watch the netflix version (The Highwayman), the Remake (Also netflix) and the original to compare it.
A lot of these movies seem to run on the theme of love, especially secret or multiple love.
Very X-rated, which seems to be the big theme for American New Wave.
