BSA106-British New Wave

Sounds like a great way to start a new manifesto. I think this is where a lot of the indie films would fit into now days.

Kitchen Sink films is an interesting way to put it. Very memorable.

All the covers run under the same kind of aesthetic, minimalist, red, white/pale yellow and red.
Look back in Anger looks like an interesting film, although something tells me I would feel uncomfortable watching it, probably because of the abusive man.
Room at the Top shows the social constraints with old time romance.

Everything seems to revolve around romance.

Modern films now often show social realisim with reference to the upper-class structure and its restrictions. As well as unplanned pregnancies (Admin, Nov 7, 2014) a movie that comes to min with these as themes is Juno, starring Ellen Page. With people struggling to exist out of the mainstream, Heathers reminds me of this.
I think the Full Monty is probably what Magic Mike is somewhat based off.
